Nun war es endlich so weit. Venus war der Meinung, dass es Zeit ist, mit ihrem Nachwuchs an die frische Luft zu kommen. Und sie hat sich einen schönen Tag ausgesucht, um ihr Jungtier – es ist ein Männchen – den Zoobesuchern vorzustellen.
Today’s the day! Venus decided that it was time for a little fresh air for herself and her cub. She chose a beautiful day to show him off (it’s a male) to zoo visitors.

The cub wants out, but not Mama. Outside it’s cold and Venus has to clear away the snow.

Der kleine Eisbär in Ranua ist jetzt neun Wochen alt und fit.
The little polar bear in Ranua is now nine weeks old and doing well.

Im hohen Norden von Finnland wurde am 25. November ein junger Eisbär geboren, der bis heute lebt.
In Finland’s far north a polar bear cub was born on November 25, and is still living.
Es ist der zweite Eisbär, der in Ranua und Finnland aufgezogen wird.
This is the second polar bear to be raised in Ranua and Finland.
Ein zweiter Jungtier wurde nur zehn Tage alt.
A second cub died when it was only 10 days old.
